Description

the curved sides rising from a tapered foot to a gently flaring rim, moulded to the exterior with overlapping pointed lappets, covered overall in a crackled sea-green glaze, the rim mounted with gilt-metal, Japanese wood box

A Japanese Private Collection.
Condition
The bowl is in good condition with the exception of two small areas (8 and 10mm., wide) of over-painting just below the gilt-metal rim, overall light glaze crazing and some minor and light glaze scratches.
