carved with a phoenix standing on pierced rocks issuing lingzhi sprays, its head turned back towards leafy bamboo shoots behind, the stone of an opaque white tone with russet markings

Provenance

Purchased in France, 29th September 1987.

Condition

The vase is in good condition with the exception of minor nibbling and small nicks along the extremities. There are caramel and russet markings on the vase, predominantly on the lower bottom on both sides, and natural veins with associated flakes. The stone is of a slightly more greyish tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
