Condition
The spout and handle may have been restored with visible traces of repainting and overspray, which is also visble along the mouth rim. There are minor pits to the pink enamels around the neck of the teapot, and a 0.2 x 0.2cm enamel flake to one peony on the body of the ewer. There are minor glaze chips, including one (0.3 x 0.2cm) on the dragon head handle and another (0.2 x 0.2cm) on the neck of the lion finial. The gilding is rubbed. There are other firing imperfections such as an iron spot to the base, minor firing cracks to the interior or around the foot. The interior of the foot is slightly misfired to a faint russet tone.
