naturalistically carved in melon form, the exterior carved with curling leafy tendrils and a butterfly, the stone of a greenish yellow tone with traces of russet skin, coral stopper

A Danish Private Collection.

Condition

The snuff bottle is in very good condition with the exception of natural flaws of the stone. There are losses to the tip and extremities of the coral stopper. The stone is of a warmer celadon tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
