the boy dressed in loose fitting robes, detailed with a cheerful face and hair tied into three topknots, crouching over to reach a recumbent goose grasping a leafy millet spray in its beak, the stone of a pale celadon tone with russet inclusions

A Swiss Private Collection, acquired in the 1950s.

Condition

The boy and goose group is in excellent condition with the exception of minor nibbling along the extremities. The stone is of a darker celadon tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
