Condition

The box and cover is in good condition with the exception of minor retouching to the enamels, particularly to the light blue ground and red enamels near the sides of the box and cover. There are minor dents to the enamels, possibly due to impact force, to one peony at the side of the cover and the tendrils of one floret on the box. The gilding to the interior and rims are rubbed and scratched.
