Description

  • gilt bronze
cast seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base, the right arm raised in varadamudra to the chest and the left hand lowered in bhumisparsa, wearing a dhoti further embellished with hardstone-inlaid beaded jewellery around the neck and uptala lotuses rising from the left elbow, the benevolent face surmounted by a tiara around a high chignon

Condition

This gilt bronze figure is in good condtion, but there is some loss to the inlaid stones to the crown, necklace and arm jewellery. There is rubbing to the gilding to the back, hands, legs and face. There are some small dents to the upper part of the left leg. There is also rubbing to the gilding on the beading to the base. The base plate is missing.
