the baluster body painted with three rows of petal-shaped floral panels, all reserved on diaper grounds interspersed with small cartouches enclosing the babao (Eight Treasures), the foot and the shoulder encircled with chevron bands, the neck with flowers issuing from rocks, mounted with a metal tap, the domed cover similarly decorated

Condition

The jar and cover are in good condition with the exception of the jar being drilled to the lower side of the body and fitted with a metal tap, the rim of the jar having four circa 1-1.5cm., shallow chips and further rim fritting, and minor glaze firing imperfections including burst glaze bubbles and iron-spots and glaze scratches to both jar and cover.
