the baluster body surmounted by a waisted neck with a flared rim, painted in bright cobalt-blue tones with two five-clawed dragons pacing amongst stylised clouds in pursuit of flaming pearls above a lappet band, all below linked ruyi-shaped lappets enclosing a lotus spray on the shoulder, the neck encircled with a stylised ruyi band

Condition

The jar is in fair condition with the exception of three short hairline rim cracks (3, 3 and 4cm., long), a repaired 4cm., wide V-shaped break at the rim, a restored 3cm., wide rim chip, a firing hairline encircling the foot and minor glaze firing imperfections including iron-spot impurities, glaze pulls, burst glaze bubbles and light glaze scratches.
