Description

well potted with deep rounded sides supported on a narrow straight foot, finely decorated around the exterior with eight medallions, each enclosing one of the trigrams, interspersed with ruyi-shaped clouds and flying cranes, all above jagged rocks battered by crashing waves, the interior centred with a medallion depicting an eight-petalled floret floating on a formal ground of crested waves, within a double-line border and a band of floral diapers at the rim, the base inscribed with a six-character reign mark

Condition

The bowl is in overall very good condition. There are some light scratches to the surface on the interior and a tiny glaze shrinkage on the exterior of the foot.
