Description

of compressed globular form raised on three furled acanthus leaves, the high shoulders set with a two large chrysanthemum sprigs with curling foliage forming the loop handles, finely carved in shallow relief on each side with a lotus blossom flanked by long curling feathery leaves, the cover decorated with floret sprays and leaves below a rounded bud-shaped knob, the translucent stone accented with patches of pale brown inclusions and finished with a smooth patina

The censer and cover are overall in very good condition.
