Description

skilfully worked using the contrasting colours of the stone, the seated adult monkey clutching a peach branch in his hands, the infant clambering on his shoulder scratching his left ear grasping the top of the branch, all cleverly differentiated within the chestnut-brown, russet or calcified areas of the stone and finished with a smooth patina, carved wood stand
