Description
modelled after the Warring States archaic bronze vessel prototypes, standing foursquare with raised head, flared nostrils and puckered lips, the eyes set below key-fret eyebrows and small ears, its back defined by a bony spine dividing the archaistic scroll-incised rotund body, the tail marked with leiwen, all supported on short stocky legs with flaming haunches and hoofed feet, the smoothly polished stone of milky-white tone accented by russet shades and icy streaks, carved wood stand
Condition
There are a few minor nicks to the edges of the ears and the edges of the hooves but overall the animal carving is in quite good condition.
