Description

of ogée-form resting on a straight foot, the rounded waisted sides rising to an upturned rim, brightly decorated around the exterior with two fanciful five-clawed dragons striding among clouds, their powerful muscular scaly bodies emitting flames, one turning its head looking backward toward the other behind him, all between double lines at the rim and foot, the interior centred with a medallion enclosing a similar dragon writhing among flames, the base inscribed with a six-character seal mark in underglaze blue

Condition

The bowl is overall in very good condition with only a minute glaze gap on the exterior near the rim, a few tiny pin-holes and minute iron spots on the rim.
