Description

each with deep rounded sides rising from a short tapered foot to a gently flared rim, painted on the exterior with two five-clawed dragons striding among flames, with open jaws and free flowing mane, their scaly undulating bodies picked out in various tones of cobalt, divided by two detached sprays of foliate ruyi supporting one of the auspicious characters fu and shou enclosed in a barbed panel, all above three rows of pointed petals encircling the foot, the interior similarly decorated with a five-clawed dragon writhing among flames within double lines repeated at the rim, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark

Condition

There are a few pin-prick air bubbles to the rim of one, and tiny iron spots to the interior of the other. Both have some light scratches to the surface glaze on the interior, but apart from this, both bowls are in very good condition.
