Description

each with shallow rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to an everted rim, painted in shaded tones of cobalt, the interior with a central medallion enclosing an en face five-clawed dragon writhing among flames reaching for a 'flaming pearl', with open jaws, bulging eyes, and powerful limbs, within a double-line border repeated at the rim, the exterior decorated in underglaze blue with two similar dragons striding in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl', the base inscribed with a six-character seal mark

Condition

Both dishes are in very good condition with only a few specks of minute kiln grit on the interior.
