Description

well potted, the shallow rounded sides rising from a short tapered foot and undercut footring to an everted rim, decorated in shaded tones of cobalt blue, the interior with a central lotus flower surrounded by three fruiting pomegranates and four further blossoms, all wreathed by dense curling foliate stems within a double-line border repeated at the rim, the exterior similarly decorated with six lotus alternating with buds borne on a continuous meandering foliate stem, within double lines encircling the rim and foot, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark within double circles

Condition

Apart from very minor pin-holes, tiny glaze gaps and two minute firing cracks on the footrim, this dish is in very good condition.
