Description

robustly cast in the form of a hollow peach bough, formed from three large conjoined peaches borne on a thick-cut stalk issuing naturalistically furled leaves, the fitted openwork cover pierced with a wan symbol beneath a leafy stem, the base cast with a six-character apocryphal Xuande mark in positive script within a recessed panel, the bronze richly patinated to a chocolate-brown colour with paler shades and darker specks

Condition

Apart from expected wear and minor dents on the surface of the fruits or edges of the leaves and cover, the censer is in overall quite good condition.
