of deep 'U'-shape supported on a short foot, decorated around the copper body with three rows of upright lotus petals enamelled in yellow and pink, issuing from a green band of seeds around the base and reserved on a yellow ground picked out with red specks, the stepped cover similarly decorated with three rows of yellow and pink petals culminating in a green pod surmounted by a gilt-bronze finial, further set with set with a double ring forming a channel providing a snug fit, the edge of the cover and exterior of the foot enamelled in blue, the interior and the base reserved in white
