A BLUE-GLAZED STEMBOWL MARK AND PERIOD OF YONGZHENG

the wide flared bowl resting on a splayed stem encircled by a single raised fillet, covered on the exterior with a deep cobalt-blue glaze stopping neatly under the white rim and just above the foot, the interior of the bowl and of the stem left white, the latter inscribed in underglaze blue with a horizontal six-character reign mark, the broad rounded foot ring left unglazed revealing a smooth white biscuit fired pale orange along the edge of the glaze

There is a 3 mm. filled-in chip to the rim and a few minor tiny specks in the white glaze on the interior, but apart from this the stembowl is in good condition. The actual colour of the bowl is quite close to the catalogue illustration.
