- alabaster, on a serpentine marble column, with a revolving top

Condition
Overall the condition of the alabaster is good. A section of the back of the ground is carved separately and has possibly been reattached. The base with the signature and title was also carved separately and has a fissure running through its centre. The index finger on the proper right hand is reattached and there is a restoration to the edge of the hat on the proper right side. There is veining to the alabster consistent with the material and there are a few small losses, including to the hen's tail.
The column is in there sections. There are a few chips to the edges of the column and a restoration to the top. The lower two sections of the column are inscribed: 23 and with two illegible old paper labels and the middle section of the column inscribed: V
