Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Some artist's pentimenti are visible in the upper-right quadrant. Under ultraviolet light the varnish fluoresces opaquely making the surface difficult to read, however retouching is apparent in two thin circa 14cm diagonal lines of restoration in the sky, one in the upper-left and the other in the upper-right (just visible in the catalogue illustration), and some scattered spots chiefly in the upper-left quadrant of the composition.
Held in a decorative gold-painted frame, with a silver-painted inner slip.
