Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Ultraviolet light reveals intermittent spots of retouching along the extreme framing edges and a handful of other scattered spots, notably a circa 3 by 2cm small area near the lower part of the right framing edge (patched on the reverse). Some of the dark grey pigments spotted in the background appear to fluoresce under ultraviolet light, but these would certainly appear to be the artist's original pigments. This painting is in good condition and is ready to hang.
Held in a simple silver painted frame.
