Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Ultraviolet light reveals notably a circa 14 by 24cm area of restoration in the figure's torso and left arm (with adhesive in an inverted 'T' shape on the reverse), a smaller adjacent 8cm line of restoration, strokes in the shadowed parts of the figure's face, and some further minor signs notably near the upper framing edge in the centre. The overall appearance of the painting under normal light is good and it is ready to hang.
Held in a decorative gilt frame.
