Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Ultraviolet light reveals scattered spots of retouching, notably clustered in the left third of the sky, near the extreme right edge and in the foreground in the lower centre. The painting is overall in good condition and its appearance could be further enhanced if desired with a light surface clean.
Held in a decorative gilt frame with foliate motifs.
The colours are deeper and somewhat less bright than in the catalogue illustration.
