Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Ultraviolet light reveals no signs of retouching (some of the light grey-white pigments fluoresce, but these certainly appear to be the artist's original and not retouching). Apart from some tiny spots of surface dirt in the sky in the upper left corner, and some light rubbing to the signature (both visible in the catalogue illustration), this work is in good, fresh condition and is ready to hang. The work is less pink in reality, and fresher, than in the catalogue illustration.
Held in a decorative gilt frame, under glass.
