Catalogue Note

These “cells” are on the studio’s paper with two long and one circular holes at the foot. The use of hand-drawn illustrations on paper, rather than acetate, and the process of filming led to an animation technique known as “boiling”. The original series of 30 episodes was first broadcast in 1974.
