The second, revised edition of Jane Austen's first published novel: the copy owned by the author's closest friend Martha Lloyd (see lot 270).

Gilson notes that the text is believed to have been revised by Jane Austen herself, and there are some major differences (pp.3, 66) as well as many minor changes.
