manuscript prayers, confessions, meditations, and spiritual advice, in an attractive italic hand, 196 numbered pages plus a few blanks, 12mo (108 x 82mm.), dated 1649 on title page, contemporary London black morocco richly gilt by Queen's Binder A, gilt decoration composed of drawer-handle tools and pointillé flowers enhanced with silver paint, gilt edges, in modern folding buckram box with Abbey's morocco label on cover, extremities very slightly rubbed
