Catalogue Note

A letter by the great polar explorer to the future writer, then a schoolgirl at Godolphin School in Salisbury. Sayers's own copy of her poem, "To Sir Ernest Shackleton", survives in a volume of juvenilia among the Sayers Papers at Wheaton College (DLS MS 365).
