the rounded sides rising from a short tapered foot to a lipped rim, finely painted in shades of cobalt blue against a bright yellow enamelled ground, the interior with a ribboned bouquet of lotus and other water plants, surrounded on the sides by a composite flower scroll of paired roses, lotus, camellias and other blossoms, all below a 'classic' scroll border at the rim, the exterior similarly decorated with a composite flower scroll between a double blue line around the foot and a band of key-fret at the rim, the base enamelled yellow and inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark within a square panel reserved in white

There is an approx. 2.5 cm. hairline crack to the rim, otherwise the overall condition of the dish is quite good. There are some very minor enamel flakes to the exterior and a small burst air bubble to the central medallion.

此類「一把蓮」盤，源可遠溯永樂青花，雍正乾隆兩朝尤喜仿學燒製，見有青花及地添施黃彩者，且尺寸各異，有較本品大或小之例。

有近似乾隆盤器，以及大小與此相同之成對雍正署款「一把蓮」盤，可以比擬，均錄於《徐氏藝術館‧陶瓷篇IV‧清代》，香港，1995年，圖版91及69，其中乾隆例後售於紐約佳士得1999年4月22日，編號335。另有乾隆「一把蓮」盤，原屬蒙地卡羅 Lorant Goldschlager 典藏，於倫敦佳士得1973年6月4日售出，編號181。

玫茵堂另藏雍正署款「一把蓮」圖盤，尺寸略大，盤內外沿口及圈足均輔飾綠彩，圖見康蕊君，前述出處，卷2，編號762，售於香港蘇富比2011年4月7日，編號74。亦可比較兩件永樂青花例，均較本品碩大，盤心蓮束往一方彎曲，彷彿於微風中搖曳，收錄於康蕊君，前述出處，卷2，編號665及666，其中編號665於2012年4月7日在香港蘇富比售出，編號37。
