Description
- Medici Venus
- bronze, on an onyx, marble and fluorspar base
Condition
The condition of the bronze is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. Venus has been cast in sections and there are joints visible on both arms. A plug is visible on each thigh and to her proper right buttock, where there is also a small spot of green residue. There is a scratch to the reverse of her proper left thigh. There are minor abrasions to the patina throughout.
There are chips and some abrasion to the edges of the base.
