Condition
Overall the condition of the terracotta is good with wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are some stable firing fissures to the surface consistent with the material, including along the abdomen of the armour. There is a stable fissure running around the stand for the anvil on the reverse which has some remnants of glue near it. There are some traces of a wash around the wooden leg and to the tip of the head of the hammer. The wooden leg is inscribed: 'GLL' in black ink. There are some minor chips to the lower edge.
