Overall, the condition of the bronze is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The handle has been cast separately and joints are visible. A plug is visible on one side of the lid hinge. An ornament at the top of the lid has been lost. There is some minor scratching to the surface and wear to the gilding. There are some scattered dirt deposits to the gilding. There is a small lacuna to the base of the handle and some further smaller lacunae to the bronze due to the casting process.
