Description

  • Gilt, giltwood
  • 111cm., 43 ¾ in.
the scalloped shaped top above a flaring baluster body, the corners heavily carved with shells and acanthus and the sides with oval cartouches with trellis decoration on the upper section and protruding  masks surrounded by volutes and foliage on the lower section, all terminating in squat scrolling feet; re-gilded

Condition

This pedestal has been re-gilded and now has a modern red velvet pad covering the top, one corner of a foot missing, small losses to gilding, a small piece of carving broken.
