Condition
This has not been viewed out of the frame. Overall in very good condition. There are some very faint areas of light brown staining in the upper section of the drawing, this is barely visible. There is a small abrasion in the paper in the upper left. The pen and ink remains fresh and overall sheet clean.

Catalogue Note
Johann Christian Reinhart arrived in Rome at the end of 1789 and soon became a central figure in the German colony within the city. He remained in Rome until his death in 1847, devoting most of his time to landscape painting and aquatint engraving.
