Condition

This work is in good condition overall. The canvas has been lined. There is extensive cracking throughout that has been stabilized. Under ultraviolet light inspection, there is a roughly 2-inch band that runs along all 4 sides that fluoresces brightly and there are various scattered areas of inpainting. Framed. This work has been signed on the reverse by the artist's wife, Evelyn Pousette-Dart, dated '6/18/03', and inscribed 'Richard Pousette-Dart 1943-42'.
