Condition

Condition: This work is in very good condition. There are minor spots of drip marks and barely visible white-out retouching made by the artist inherent of her working process. Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are accurate; however, they fail to convey the shine on the glitter used by the artist in the original work. The background white is also less grey in the actual work.

Catalogue Note

"Faceless portraits of human beings but not quite human after all. Through these ‘characters’ half-man, half-octopus, jellyfish and other marine molluscs, we can identify
famous dictators, but above all, it is the dictatorship itself that I wanted to portray.”
