Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original, with the blue tending more towards turquoise. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals evidence of light wear and handling to the upper left hand corner, with an associated speck of paint loss and a few minute hairline cracks to the green pigment. There are a few pinhead-sized fly spots scattered across the turquoise and green pigment in places. Extremely close inspection reveals some very faint craquelure along the left hand edge of the composition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
