The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals light wear to the corners of the first panel, with some associated hairline cracks, and a very small loss towards the top left edge. There are light handling marks below the centre of the right edge. On the second panel, there is a very small surface loss to the right edge of the second-highest canvas of the top tier, with a thin and stable hairline crack running parallel to the left edge. On the third panel, there are very thin and stable hairline cracks running along each edge. There is a spot of media accretion near the centre of the right edge, roughly 20cm. into the composition. Networks of very fine and stable paint shrinkage are apparent in places. No restoration is visible when examined under ultra-violet light.
