The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is a light rub mark to the top right hand corner. There are dust fibres adhering to the thickest areas of impasto paint. There are inconsistencies to the paint surface which are inherent to the artist's working process. The edges of the impasto paint that spill over the sides of the canvas are rather fragile and have a very small number of small drying cracks. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
