The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. The leather hide is attached to a backing board with pins at intervals around the edges, with a few additional artist's pin holes in places. There is light creasing and scattered minor media accretions in places, in keeping with the artist's choice of medium and working process. There are a few fly spots in the lower right corner.

Catalogue Note
“I wanted to show something new, and so I decided to work with leather hides. Bobby Breslau, who had worked with leather when he designed handbags for Halston, took me to leather places and introduced me to this whole world of pelts and hides. I bought all these strange pieces of leather and did drawings and paintings on them. Some, I covered with marker, and some, with acrylic paint.”
