The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the illustration fails to fully convey the shiny gold of the gilt frame and the jet black background apparent in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.

"When I did Pharmacy restaurant, I remember having a conversation... about advertising and saying, 'Is Coca-Cola any good, or is it just brown fizzy liquid, and it's all a marketing scam?' And it's the same sort of thing with diamonds. 'Is it just bits of glass, or do they really have this sparkle?' But then you look at a diamond, and it is truly amazing. It's optimistic and hopeful about the world. We need to have that, because otherwise you're cynical, aren't you?"
