of mokko form, each side decorated in the Shibayama style on a silver ground with a dense bouquet of mixed flowers including chrysanthemum, peony, hydrangea and sakura, all skillfully inlaid in stained mother-of-pearl, with elegant cloisonné enamel butterflies among peonies around the seppadai, mokkogata silver mounted mimi

Condition

This is a superior example and a very beautiful object. It has not been inspected out of it perpex case. It would appear to be in good order although the silver metal band has some very minor wear. It is ready to place. There are some scratches to the modern perspex case.
