Condition
This very fine set of six walnut carved chairs is generally in very good condition, particularly considering its age. The scroll-carved and vase splatted backs display some scratching and occasional cracking or separation as well as evidence of worm. The drop-in embroidered seats are of modern origin. The carved cabriole legs have signs of wear, scratches and scuffing commensurate with age. One of the cabriole legs has been broken and repaired. While the pad feet have localised areas of patching and filler to old worm damage. The x-frame stretchers also have similar signs of repair. The scratches, marks and scuffs on the set are appropriate to age and use.
