Condition

The canvas has not been lined. Ultraviolet light reveals some scattered minor spots of retouching and an old varnish over the background which fluoresces opaquely, obscuring a clear reading of the surface. The overall appearance of the work is good and it is ready to hang. Held in a decorative gilt frame.
