with a brass gallery to the rear above an ebony and boxwood strung top and front, with two frieze drawers flanked by a cupboard and deep cellaret drawer

Condition

In country house condition and with marks from age and use throughout. There are losses to the fruitwood banding and this decoration exhibits the kind of age cracks one would expect to see. Sides with one age crack on each side. There are losses to the banding, notably on one of the frieze drawers and the rear corners of the top. The brass handles are later. The lead lining of the cellaret drawer is distressed. The legs have scuffs and old chips.
