Condition

A functional piece. The leather is generally good but there scratches, scuffs and stains and some areas are of a dry appearance. The brass mounts have dents to them and have been polished so the original lacquer has gone. There is some lifting to the inset brass and one these flutes is lacking. One of the writing slides lacks a pull out handle. The plinth bases have been scuffed and chipped and have areas of re-touching. One short side has been bleached by the sun. The piece may have been re-polished and there are marks and scuffs throughout.
