- 85cm. high, 105.5cm. wide, 44cm. deep; 2ft. 9½in., 3ft. 5½in., 1ft. 5¼in.
the brocatelle marble top over a frieze drawer and two brass trellis and pleated silk doors, flanked by fluted tapering and turned pilasters on tapering feet
Condition
An attractive piece with an attractive marble top. Some of the gilt decoration is refreshed. There are old marks and scratches throughout and the mahogany has faded through exposure to sunlight. The pleated silk with old marks and scratches.

Catalogue Note
This Regency side cabinet relates to high quality furniture produced by the firm of Henry Holland, an architect and designer for the Prince of Wales. The parcel-gilt fluted pilasters and tapered feet are often found on Holland's side cabinets and on a rosewood commode designed by Holland for Samuel Whitbred at Southill, Bedfordshire. Other high quality cabinet makers were to employ similar decorative devices at the time and Gillows are worthy of mention too.
