Anonymous sale, London, Sotheby's, 3 July 1985, lot 117, for £4,400 (as Francesco Gianlisi).

Condition

The canvas has an old loose relining. The paint surface is generally secure, with some signs of old lifting, and is in fair condition with much of the original impasto remaining in the lighter pigments. Inspection under UV light reveals some old scattered retouchings throughout. Offered in a plain painted wooden frame in fair condition.
